Finally, my first post of the new year. I hope you all had a fabulous time over the holidays. We kept it pretty low key and overdosed on massive amounts of Lost and Gilmore Girls.

I can see why I stopped watching Lost when S3 was airing because it started off really slow. I really wish I’d have stuck it out though because it did start rockin’ again. And S4 was freaking awesome, especially the episode The Constant. I was all but biting my nails in anticipation of what was going to happen next. The one funny thing about re-watching everything from the beginning again is that characters that I initially loved, I ended up not really caring about at all and characters that I was kind of iffy about I ended up just absolutely loving. Upon a second viewing, my favorites are Hurley (always loved him), Desmond (so many amazing layers), Charlie (who knew?) and Ben (so good at being evil). I always liked Hurley because he was like a giant teddy bear that you just wanted to keep with you at all times. He made me and Aidan both cry quite a few times. When Hurley is sad, he makes everyone sad. *pets him* Desmond + Penny = epic love! Henry Ian Cusick is amazing as Desmond and the connection he and Penny have is, well, epic and the damned writers had better let them be together until the end of time. Charlie had his flaws, but all in all, he had a really good heart and was a good person and I really enjoyed watching his story unfold. As for Ben, I didn’t really care for him or about him, but I did enjoy watching to see what nasty trick he would throw out next. He was so manipulative and deceitful, but ended up being honest and helpful at times too. A very interesting mix. Yay for the new season starting soon!

I’m love, love, loving re-watching Gilmore Girls. It’s such fun and has a huge heart. I want my own Luke. *sigh*

I officially gave up on trying to finish reading Breaking Dawn. I left off about 570-ish pages in and just looked up spoilers for the remainder of the story. I’m not one to do that with books, but I couldn’t take it anymore. It was such a piece of garbage and I can truly say now that I did in fact grow to hate it. I’m glad I didn’t spend anymore time on it either because from the spoilers I found (from where I left off through the end of the story) I most likely would have hurled the stupid book into a wall. The other books might have been full of cheese and LOL moments, but at least they were enjoyable and I actually cared about the characters in them. This one just frustrated me from about page 100 on and that makes me kinda sad. Oh well, I’m done with it now so I really should stop complaining.

Last complaint of the day…I spent all day at home waiting on the cable company to come fix the internet and cable. It took them about 2.5 hours, but all is well again. Apparently one of my neighbors took it upon themselves to take my cable and hook it up to their satellite and that’s what knocked everything out. I don’t know what they were thinking, especially considering cable doesn’t work with satellite. The thing that irks me about these neighbors taking my cable is the fact that we get along really well and they have always been so nice. I would have even let them watch my TV if they needed entertainment. Stupid neighbors!
