As you can see, there’s a shiny new layout by Mycah here featuring the adorable and super talented Miss Amy Adams. I’m still tweaking the stylesheet a little, but it’s more or less complete.

The gallery also has a new look by Natalie featuring David Tennant and Kylie Minogue in Doctor Who: Voyage of the Damned. She made it like a year ago and I am just now getting around to using it. I’ve still got a pretty Mad Cowgirl one that I need to use as well. Perhaps I’ll use it next time.

I’ve also added screencaps from the opening credits and episodes 1-3 of Dollhouse to the gallery and will be adding more soon.

Mia Online has also gotten a much deserved facelift thanks to Mycah too. I love it!

I’ve finally bought Butch Walker’s Sycamore Meadows, Sondre Lerche’s Phantom Punch and Lady Gaga’s The Fame recently and am loving them all. Butch and Sondre go great together on a playlist, but not so much with Lady Gaga. I don’t even typically like her kind of music, but it’s so catchy and it’s been motivating me to get my ass moving a little more and that is always a good thing. For instance, yesterday I danced around the house doing laundry and cleaning while her album played and didn’t realize how much I’d gotten done until it was all over. I love getting a little workout without actually working out.

Went on a real date this weekend and had a fun time. We had Indian (yum!) and went to see The Haunting in Connecticut. The food and company were better than the film, but whatever, it was a great night all in all.

I caught up on the last few eps of Smallville and oh my do I ever adore Sam Witwer. He’s just so good as Davis. Really, really good. So tortured and hot. Hahaha. He and Chloe kill me. I know they will never be, but they totally need to get to make out again because they are so pretty together and she grounds him. Oh how I love my ‘ships that can’t have a future.

Butchy Goodness!

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Butch Walker yet, even though I’ve pimped him dozens of times over the years, I highly suggest you give him a listen. His acoustic sets are freaking amazing, so if you ever happen to have a chance to see him live, please do. You will not regret one single second of it. I promise.

Please note that the songs I’ve chosen are pretty much all ballads. He has some really great up-tempo stuff too, but I thought I’d make a play for your heartstrings and showcase these this go round. Now on to the music…

Stateline
This song always either makes me cry or brings me to the verge of tears. I’ve seen it bring an entire room full of people to tears including Butch himself. You can see for yourself how emotional he gets when he’s singing it.

Joan
This song makes me a little emotional as well. I blame this on him because he sings it with that raw emotion that he sings Stateline with.

I polished off OTH S3 a few days ago and really, really need S4 to arrive in my mailbox soon.

I finally watched The Sarah Connor Chronicles S1 recently and it was really good. Lena Headey bores me greatly, but I will continue to give her a chance. Other actors have grown on me over time, so she might grow on me too.

Aidan and I went to see Changeling last weekend. It was his idea that we go see it, which surprised me because he’s usually more of a cheesy horror movie nut. We both thought it was a really well made and well acted on all parts, especially by Angie and Jason Butler Harner who played Gordon Northcott. I hadn’t realized how skinny Angie was during that time, but she was just skin and bones. It worked in her favor though because it added an extra layer of fragility to her character and all that she went through. Jason was just too creepy for words. (WARNING: The rest of this entry contains some slight spoilers regarding Jason’s character and how some of the scenes were filmed.)

Is he perfectly perfect? No. Does it matter? No. He’s Scottish, he can sing and he can act and he looks fabulous doing every single bit of it. He also just seems like a genuinely cool guy. If you have any doubt of his hotness, you should watch the little sex scene between Alan and Daniela Sea in season 3 of The L Word because dayum!
