You will laugh your ass off and love every single second of it. One of my favorite scenes is the shower scene in the gym when Steve starts furiously washing the young guy he meets there. It starts out like it’ll be a sexy scene and then Steve just starts soaping him up and scrubbing his hair because he’s kind of gross. It’s freaking hilarious.

I can’t say it’s the greatest gay film I’ve ever seen or even highly original, but it is quite enjoyable to watch. It has likeable characters, a nice cast, fun tunes, drag queens and a pair of little silver booties I would love to own (you’ll know them when you see them). I also thought Tad Hilgenbrink and Brett Chukerman were just beyond adorable as Chance and Levi and must check out some of their other work and soon.

Bottom line: If you are in the mood for a cute little gay teen film set in the 80′s, you should check it out.

I can’t imagine anyone having not seen it, but if for some reason you haven’t, you must get it and watch it soon. Baz Luhrmann is pure genius and you will love this film from start to finish.
