Some people are just born evil. The kid from ‘The Omen’, the children of the corn… Chad Michael Murray.

Garret Dillahunt is made of awesome and so is Mycah. View it. Love it. If it doesn’t make you want to check out his work or at least think dirty thoughts about him then we can no longer be friends. Sorry. ;)

I’m finally getting a much needed haircut today. Yay!!! I can’t wait!

Lindsay Lohan looks like poop on a stick these days. She used to have such potential and she was so gorgeous. It’s unfortunate that she doesn’t have a better support system who could help her and get her healthy again.

This is what happens happens to people who used to be pretty when they decide to fugly up and get really, really, really horrible plastic surgery. Yes, it is the same person and yes, it is terrifying. Be afraid. Be very, very afraid.

I started Blue Bloods on Friday night and finished it Saturday afternoon. It’s the first book in a long while that has held my interest for more than 2 minutes. I was itching to read Masquerade right after, but I couldn’t find it in any stores, so I picked up the first couple of Morganville Vampire books instead and am totally loving this series as well. I finished book the first yesterday and am about half way through the second. I do hope my shipment of the remaining books in the series comes soon because I need more!

Now if I could just finish the last few pages of Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist. *le sigh* It’s a good book, it’s just not what I’ve been in the mood for lately and therefore I’ve been putting off finishing it. I am enjoying the book more than I enjoyed the film, but please don’t read that as I didn’t enjoy the film because I did enjoy it. I just enjoyed it as it’s own thing. Not a movie based on the book. The film is quite different from the book and I think that maybe I should have watched the movie before I started reading so I didn’t have this idea formed in my head of what Nick and Norah would be like or how they would feel towards one another. In the book, I really tuned into how they feel about their situations with their respective exs, how they were beginning to feel about each other, how insecure and scared and excited they were inside and how the music made them feel on an intimate level. In the film though, I didn’t feel that and that saddens me a bit. Don’t get me wrong, I totally love Michael Cera and Kat Dennings and they were great, but they didn’t feel like the Nick and Norah from the book to me and the movie as a whole was more vanilla than I expected. Not in a bad way, just not in a way that made me “feel” like the book did.

good evening gentle viewers

Finally, my first post of the new year. I hope you all had a fabulous time over the holidays. We kept it pretty low key and overdosed on massive amounts of Lost and Gilmore Girls.

I can see why I stopped watching Lost when S3 was airing because it started off really slow. I really wish I’d have stuck it out though because it did start rockin’ again. And S4 was freaking awesome, especially the episode The Constant. I was all but biting my nails in anticipation of what was going to happen next. The one funny thing about re-watching everything from the beginning again is that characters that I initially loved, I ended up not really caring about at all and characters that I was kind of iffy about I ended up just absolutely loving. Upon a second viewing, my favorites are Hurley (always loved him), Desmond (so many amazing layers), Charlie (who knew?) and Ben (so good at being evil). I always liked Hurley because he was like a giant teddy bear that you just wanted to keep with you at all times. He made me and Aidan both cry quite a few times. When Hurley is sad, he makes everyone sad. *pets him* Desmond + Penny = epic love! Henry Ian Cusick is amazing as Desmond and the connection he and Penny have is, well, epic and the damned writers had better let them be together until the end of time. Charlie had his flaws, but all in all, he had a really good heart and was a good person and I really enjoyed watching his story unfold. As for Ben, I didn’t really care for him or about him, but I did enjoy watching to see what nasty trick he would throw out next. He was so manipulative and deceitful, but ended up being honest and helpful at times too. A very interesting mix. Yay for the new season starting soon!

seven hours ’till the moon sleeps

So guess how tall my kid is now? Are you ready for this? He’s 5’7″. He’s only 11 and I’m so not ready for him to sprout into a 6 footer at 15.

I’ve been contemplating learning Russian. I realize that Russian is actually quite useless to me in my daily life, but learning a second language would expand my brain and could be fun. Besides, everyone else usually learns French, German, Italian or Spanish whether or not they will use it in their daily lives, so why not step outside the norm? If I don’t like it, I can always try out one of the easier languages instead.

Every single book I’ve read lately has used the word “murmured” a ridiculous number of times and it’s bugging me. I’m starting to hate it almost as much as I hate the word “succulent” and I really, really hate that word. There are a lot of other words that could be used in place of “murmured” and then “murmured” could be used more sparingly. Do the authors not realize they use it so much? Do their editors not catch it? Does it not bother anyone else?

So I’m about 200 pages into Breaking Dawn and I’m still not into it. I mean, I’m into it in the sense that I need to find out how the story concludes, but I’m not really enjoying it and that is disappointing me. Continue reading

somewhere a rainbow is weeping

Full quote: “Sorry Dad, this is like a genocide of color. Somewhere a rainbow is weeping.” ~ Shawn Spencer

I just thought I’d toss in a random post in the midst of all of my Chuck-spams, which have been super fun to post. Speaking of Chuck, I really missed him on Gossip Girl last night. I prefer Chuck-filled episodes to Chuck-less episodes. Blair looked really pretty last night though and I typically can’t stand her unless she’s in a scene with Chuck in some capacity.

Who else squealed with delight at the new Twilight teaser trailer? Rob looks and sounds amazing. And he and Kristen look awesome together. I’m so excited about the movie!!!

I picked up The Vampire Diaries (Vol. 1 – The Awakening and The Struggle; Vol. 2 – The Fury and Dark Reunion) over the weekend and started reading the first story last night and so far I am enjoying it. Once I finish these books, I’ll shift my focus back to City of Ashes.

Since I’ve been depressed for a while and reading practically non-stop, I’ve found that I haven’t really felt like working on my sites much, which I don’t consider to be a bad thing. I’ve put both Charlie and Rebecca on hold for the time being, and I’m thinking of closing my ITC screencap/scan gallery and just having zip files available of caps instead. Not that many people visit the gallery anyway and after the last round of upgrades due to hackers (OMG how they suck arse), the less coppermines to upgrade, the better.

I’ve moved all of my icons here and have added a few new ones (Asia x1, Heather x1, Mia x 5, Samaire x1 and Broken English x2) if anyone is interested. I will also have some Chuck ones available soon.

I think that’s all the randomness I have for now. More Chuck-spams to be added tonight. :D

dude, you gotta give her the sweetness

James Roday is awesomeness personified. His portrayal of Shawn Spencer is the greatest ever.

I’m completely obsessed with the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and the upcoming film as well.

I just finished reading The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones and really enjoyed it for the most part. I only have 1 major complaint with the book and that was the outcome of a particular relationship near the end. I just feel cheated out of what it should have been, but I will get over it soon enough. I started the 2nd book, The Mortal Instruments: City of Ashes, last night and am enjoying it thus far. Here’s to hoping the author doesn’t throw more curve balls at me! ;)

I’ve been bitten by the Gossip Girl bug. It’s not what I’d call a “good” show that everyone and their mother must watch, but it’s incredibly entertaining in a turn your brain off for 45 minutes kind of way. The entire cast is really, really pretty too and that never hurts. Love me some Penn Badgley! He’s just so adorable and I have seen him in other stuff, so it’s not just this show that makes me think he’s adorable. I also have an odd fascination with Chuck or rather Ed Westwick’s portrayal of Chuck. He’s such a creepy slimeball character, but Ed manages to give him a little soul and make him kind of hot at the same time. Ed has the best smarmy facial expressions and his American accent is dead sexy. The one thing I don’t dig about Chuck is his clothing. It’s really awful and a bit too Peeps-colored for my taste. I shall picspam you all later with his hotness and terrible fashion. ;)
