I actually managed to find some fresh and sweet pineapple at Whole Foods today and it made me super happy. The only ones they had recently are hard and sour and just plain icky. Blech!
I ordered our Twilight tickets earlier today. I don’t think my poor son knows what he’s getting himself into by going to see this film with me. I mean, he wants to go and see it, but I don’t think he understands the magnitude of the fanbase that surrounds this film or the books. I hope for our sakes that the young girls don’t squeal with glee through the whole thing.
We’re also going to see Quantum of Solace this weekend, so yay! Aidan was sick last weekend and was really bummed that we couldn’t check it out.
My favorite knee-high boots are going to have to go bye-bye. *sniff* I somehow managed to rip a hole in the side of one of them, get a deep gash/scuff in the toe of the same one and the seam on the back of the other one is ripping apart. I would have them repaired if possible, but it would cost me more to have them repaired than to just buy a new pair. I wore them a heck of a lot because they go with practically every skirt I own and they’ve had a good long 4 year winter run anyway, so I guess it’s time that I bid them adieu.
I finished Peeps over the weekend and have The Last Days ready to read once I finish Shadow Kiss. It came out last week and I couldn’t not get it since I just finished the other Vampire Academy books recently and LOVED them. I’m about 1/2 way through it and am enjoying it just as much as I did the others. Love the characters! I must admit that I’m kind of ‘shipping Rose and Adrian, but I’m guessing that’s not going to happen. I do think it would make for much fun if they were to have some kind of little fling though.
That’s all the randomness I have for now.
EEPS!! I’m officially *squeeing* with so much giddyness…
My friends are going to try and get tickets to the Midnight showing of Twi tonight (Thursday). They were going to surpise me but I told them they might wanna get the tickets before hand (before I go getting too excited) as they too don’t understand the sheer magnitude of this… In fact NO one in my family does. I keep joking with them “You’ll see, you’ll all see” I’ll say. I hope come Sunday’s box office results they will. Because I live in a small city and it’s not like the biggest thing over in my area I don’t think it will be sold out midnight or anything, esp since it’s such a young fanbase (curfews, school etc) but at the same time you never know. I know Friday will be packed. I’m gonna try and go back out Friday and see it again (lol, yes planning that second viewing already kill me! and see QOS & Changeling too) but I’d love to see it Friday night with the fangirls (after I have a viewing of hopefully -watching- not screaming in… sometimes it’s fun to giggle. Like when I saw Prom Night with dozens of teenage girls (who find it to be “like the scariest movie ever”), that audience was fun! But at the same time, I know I DO really wanna see it and not just go in total giggle happy.
But in contrast, I must admit – I’m a little torn as to if I dont totally want giggly fangirls in the theatre. It’s funny since I am one – I know I will try to contain myself “in public” lol but sometimes I can’t!!! I of course hope it’s not polluted with dozens of screaming girls, but at the same time I kinda want it to be so I don’t feel like SUCH a loser and also so my friends will see the popularity
Debate on wearing my shirt or not… better not… I have enough embarrassment for one lifetime LMAO.
Hey Stef, just checkin’ out your site since I haven’t been in a while…I’m still not too sure if I’m going to see Twilight yet…b/c I havne’t read the books or anything…Would it be better to read them first?
Anyway, we did go see Quantum last weekend. I actually like Casino Royale better, but who am I?
I thought there was too much “shaky camera” during the fight/chase scenes.
Anyway, I haven’t been on the news yet…so I guess my teaching career is going OK! Love you!
Andi
Mycah: Since I’ve already commented in your blog re Twilight, I just have to make a Prom Night comment. We saw that in a theater full of teen girls too and it was so much fun! They squealed and shrieked and we got the biggest kick out of being in the theater with them.
Andi: Since we’ve already discussed Twilight, I’ll move on to Quantum. I still haven’t seen it yet, but am dying to. Funny you should mention the fight/chase scenes. That’s what I keep hearing from everyone, that they didn’t like the way the action was handled. My boss said it was the one big glaring flaw with the whole film. Well, that and he thought Olga was a bit too orange. Olga, like Eva Green, is so ridiculously pretty though that she could be painted purple and wearing a burlap sack and still be hotter than pretty much every other woman in the world.
